The money went to the Doraemon Scholarship Fund, a scholarship fund for poor students in Vietnam and later, it was given the Culture Fighter Award. In 1996, Kim Dong Publisher House was visited by Shogakukan and paid royalties for their publishing of the manga between 19. It was an immediate success, four Doraemon books (each containing 108 pages) had sold 40,000 copies. The manga was first published without permissions from the originally published by Kim Đồng Publishing House on December 11, 1992.
